This October Tree of Life & PCAC celebrated one year of volunteering at Bastion Community of Resilience. Bastion is an intentional community of U.S. military veterans, many still working through the various legacies of their service, as well as their associated family and community. Thomas and Emily volunteer once a month to provide Bastion’s residents community acupuncture at no cost.
Bastion is located in Gentilly, a neighborhood in the heart of New Orleans. Bastion's staff also provides on-site occupational therapy, and organizes a myriad of other activities and therapies for their residents, with a focus on community building.
We love the folks at Bastion and the work they do! We are proud to give a little back to our veterans. Thank you for your service!
